Answers to frequently asked questions when booking a Brave Nu venture.

Frequently Asked Questions

We realize that you can get great rates on your own and may be travelling with people or have a place to stay.  We also want locals to feel welcome to explore their own backyard.  

Our expertise is in selecting an ideal neighborhood with an outstanding quality of life.  It’s a place you can fully immerse in the focus area of your venture. We provide an option to book a hotel that we’ve handpicked and is situated in a residential area.

  • Courses: an expert-led seminar and a lab working with a non-profit
  • Maker Workshops: a creative experience in your area of study
  • Trailblazer Tours: go off the beaten path to meet local changemakers
  • Brave Nu Events: outings like lunches and jazz night
  • Local Transportation: check your trip for details. Local transportation will either be included or offered as an add-on. We use premium rideshares and local transit systems.
  • Local Host: welcomes you and is available throughout your trip
  • Small Groups: each program is limited to 12
  • YouLi Trip App: access trip info online or through the YouLi app

People who see travel as an opportunity to learn and grow.  You may be part of the “Great Resignation” or even retiring – taking a break to reconnect with your purpose and recharge.  Maybe it’s time to dig deeper in a topic that’s always interested you. There’s more to life than work, and we offer opportunities to explore your interests, rediscover yourself and connect with the world around you. 

Our ventures are designed around 1-2 experiences a day. You typically spend 7-10 hours in the program over a week. There’s ample time to yourself each day  and an entire free day. Co-working spaces are located in the Home Base neighborhood.  Email us at hello@bravenu.travel for a list. 

Safety is our top priority. Before each trip, travelers will be informed of the latest COVID-19 protocols in place and local destination laws. Travelers are responsible for following COVID-19 protocols while traveling to and from the destination.

Because the vaccines have been so effective at preventing severe illness from COVID-19, we encourage but do not require all participants to be fully vaccinated.  We require Brave Nu Ventures staff be vaccinated and up to date with all recommended boosters. Those who are vaccinated should carry their original vaccination card and keep a digital copy. 

Please be aware that certain venues or events may require you verify your vaccination status, wear a mask, and/or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test. You will be notified of protocols at venues and events prior to your trip.  We will do our best to arrange alternatives if needed.

You are responsible for your trip insurance. In the event you are ill and/or unable to make all or part of your trip, you are responsible for the cost of the trip in accordance with Brave Nu Ventures terms and conditions.

Brave Nu Ventures staff is trained in local COVID-19 protocol and will notify health authorities if any guest becomes ill on the trip.  Anyone with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or who tests positive will not be permitted to rejoin the program and must remain in isolation per local regulations.  The person may return once there is a negative test or a medical professional deems the ill person fit to resume group activities. 

Anyone exposed to the a person with COVID-19 must follow local quarantine and isolation guidance.

Accommodation: If you choose not to book a hotel with us, you are responsible for accommodation. We recommend doing a search in the Home Base neighborhood to benchmark cost.

Meals: Meals are not included in the program, unless noted.  You need to budget for what you typically spend on food. 

Transportation: If transportation is not included in your trip, you are responsible for the costs.  Much of the programming takes place in the Home Base neighborhood, within walking distance. Other activities are accessible via local transportation, like MARTA and rideshare. 

In the event you need to cancel, the 25% deposit is non-refundable.  If you cancel 91 days or more before departure, you will receive a 75% refund.  61-90 days before, a 50% refund.  31-60 days before, a 25% refund. Less than 30 days before, you will receive no refund. 

A cancellation will only be effective when Brave Nu receives written confirmation by email at admin@bravenu.travel. Refunds will be issued as a travel credit on your account that can be transferred to another trip. We highly recommend you secure travel insurance.
